Summary of requirements & charges

When you choose to rent through Greener Rentals it is important that you understand and are aware of any and all charges that you may incur through the duration of the tenancy.

During Tenancy

Rent payments

Payable in line with the tenancy agreement. No rent to be requested, accepted or encouraged before the tenancy agreement is signed.

During the tenancy

Gas, electric, water, council tax, TV licence, broadband or other utilities

Payable directly to the service provider, unless included within the rent.

During the tenancy

Interest on late rent payment

Maximum 3% above Bank of England base rate, calculated annually on the overdue sum.

Only once rent is 14 days or more overdue

Replacement keys, fobs or security devices

Reasonable replacement cost, with evidence provided where required.

Change of tenancy terms, e.g. change of occupant

£50 inc VAT, or reasonable costs if higher and evidenced.

Not applicable. Standard residential tenancies are assured periodic tenancies from the start.

After Tenancy / Ending Tenancy

Fees / Conditions

When required

Tenant notice to end tenancy

Tenant must give valid written notice in line with the tenancy agreement and statutory requirements.

When tenant wishes to leave

Early termination / leaving without giving the correct notice

Tenant may be liable for rent up to the end of the required notice period, or reasonable landlord losses where a surrender is agreed.

When requested by tenant
